The pillow’s width was much wider than Mu Changshu’s small frame, and as he hugged it, he appeared even more petite.

This casual look differed from what the original body would have worn, but it suited Chu Yu well, feeling comfortable and unrestricted.

As she pushed open her room door, she noticed Mu Changshu squatting outside, waiting patiently.

Upon hearing the door open, he quickly looked up. When he saw Chu Yu, his little face lit up with a smile, and he sweetly called out, “Mom.”

Chu Yu paused, taken aback.

Mu Changshu looked like a little puppy waiting for its owner to return, beaming joy upon seeing her.

How can he be this cute?

Chu Yu couldn’t resist cuteness, whether in objects or people.

“Mommy, since you’re wearing this, I want to wear the same!” Mu Changshu exclaimed, standing up excitedly.

He wanted to match with his mom so that everyone would know that she was his mom and he was her child!

“Hehehe”

With a gleeful laugh, Mu Changshu dashed back to his room.

Watching him run off, Chu Yu smiled softly to herself.

Not long after, Mu Changshu bounded back, proudly showing his outfit to Chu Yu.

“Mom, how do I look?” he asked, tilting his head hopefully.

“Very cute!” Chu Yu replied without hesitation.

Though she realized that the work shorts made his little legs appear even shorter, he was still incredibly adorable.

Even though Mu Changshu donned the outfit for a compliment, he became bashful when he received one, his cheeks red like a ripe apple.

“Only now do you seem shy,” Chu Yu teased, poking his chubby arm.

It felt delightful.

Mu Changshu quickly changed the topic, grabbing Chu Yu’s hand. “Mom, let’s go downstairs!”

“Sure,” Chu Yu agreed, not wanting to tease him further.

As they headed downstairs, they found that the maids had packed their luggage neatly in a big box.

“Madam, how are you feeling?” asked Butler. He was concerned when he saw Chu Yu and Mu Changshu.

Although he had already spoken with the family doctor, he wanted to personally check in with Chu Yu.

Chu Yu smiled warmly, “Much better.”

“Great! Breakfast is ready. Dr. Liu mentioned you should eat light, so we prepared light congee for you.”

“Sounds good.”

“Then I’ll inform the driver to wait,” Butler said before leaving.

Chu Yu took Mu Changshu to the dining room.

Sitting at the table, she glanced at the light congee before her, then at the plentiful breakfast spread in front of Mu Changshu.

With a sigh, she picked at her porridge silently.

Mu Changshu enthusiastically enjoyed his meal, while Chu Yu felt a pang of jealousy over her lighter meal.

Quietly, she reached out.

“Mom!” Mu Changshu quickly shielded his breakfast. “Doctor Liu and Grandpa He said you have to eat light. You can’t take my food!!!”

“Little cub~” Chu Yu feigned a pout.

Mu Changshu hesitated but firmly replied, “You can’t have it! If you do, I’ll tell Grandpa He. No! I’ll tell Dad!”

After all, Mu Changshu is Mu Xuye’s son; if he told, he might want the money back!

Tong Ran bowed gracefully, her smile polished but slightly lacking in warmth.

Yi Xiuya smiled, pleased with Tong Ran’s introduction. 

After Xu Ru Yun and Yi Xiuya had finished their introductions, it was time for Chu Xin Yue. She wore a lovely white dress, emanating a youthful schoolgirl vibe. 

Next to her, Shen Pu Ming was dressed in a matching white suit, which nicely complemented her outfit.
