After watching Chu Xinyue guide Shen Puming onto the bus, Chu Yu let out a small huff.

“Mom, don’t you get along with that lady?”

Mu Changshu recognized Shen Puming from their time together in kindergarten.

However, he was meeting Chu Xinyue for the first time and felt somewhat uneasy about her.

Children are susceptible to the intentions of those around them, and Mu Changshu could sense that Chu Xinyue didn’t seem friendly toward him.

“I don’t feel comfortable with her.” Chu Yu thought it was okay to express this in front of her child, “Instead of calling her auntie, just use her first name.”

Chu Xinyue is Chu’s father’s daughter and the half-sister of the original body. While she could technically be considered Mu Changshu’s aunt, referring to her in that way feels more like a courtesy than a reflection of their true relationship.

Chu Yu chose not to publicly reveal that Chu Xinyue was the mistress’s child and not the Chu family’s eldest daughter. This decision stems from the fact that even the original body felt uneasy about having a familial connection with Chu Xinyue, and Chu Yu shares similar feelings.

“But mom, I’m not fond of her either… It seems like she looks at me in a way that makes me uncomfortable.”

“Then just avoid her from now on and keep your distance.”

After saying this, Chu Yu casually shifted the conversation, “By the way, little boy, do you want to join a martial arts class?”

Mu Changshu tilted his little head, puzzled by how the topic had suddenly changed from Chu Xinyue to martial arts class. To lighten the mood, Chu Yu playfully flicked Mu Changshu’s forehead.

Then he glanced at Li Dongling and Ding Chengsi as they boarded the bus, his gaze lingering a bit longer on Ding Chengsi. Turning to Mu Changshu, he pursed his lips and said, “I noticed what happened earlier between you and that kid. You even spoke up for yourself.” 

After briefly pausing, he added, “I think it might be a good idea for you to consider enrolling in a martial arts class—so that you can feel more confident in challenging situations.” 

Realizing how that sounded, he quickly cleared his throat and corrected himself, “Not to encourage any fighting, of course—just for you to manage yourself better in the future!” 

Mu Changshu: “…”

 Although Mu Changshu found it hard to accept Chu Yu’s words fully, he nodded earnestly, “Yes, Mom, I want to learn! This way, I can support you in the future. As long as I am here, no one will be able to upset you!”

The primary focus is on learning so he can feel more capable of looking after his mother.

Seeing that Mu Changshu was in good spirits, Chu Yu smiled softly, “Hehe, let’s get on the bus first.”

 “Certainly!”

Mu Changshu held Chu Yu’s hand as they boarded the bus behind Valen Hsu and Song Jiaojie.

Since they were the last group to arrive, the front seats were already taken, so Chu Yu guided Mu Changshu to the back of the bus, where they sat down.

The seats in the last row were spacious, allowing Mu Changshu to lie comfortably.

Once all five groups of guests and the filming team leaders had boarded, the bus began to move.

The director traveled in a separate van accompanied by staff who monitored the background data, while other team members were in several other vans following closely behind the bus.

 The director requested the camera crew to deploy the drone and capture the scenic views along the route.

The drone was brought back only when it was nearly out of battery.

Since the bus ride was relatively uneventful, many viewers left the live broadcast and waited until they reached the small village where filming would take place.

In this situation, the director was unconcerned about the drop in viewers. After all, this was quite common. It wasn’t necessary for a large number of people to remain focused on the guests sitting on the bus, which had departed at 9:30 and had been traveling for over an hour.

 None of the five groups of guests in the car were aware of their destination, this small village. The director chose not to inform them beforehand, but it was certainly a place that raised some concerns. After all, it had been a challenging experience last season.

“Mom.”  

The camera was turned off, and the people on the bus were resting against their chairs. Mu Changshu leaned over to Chu Yu and softly said, “Mom.”

Chu Yu, resting with his hands on the window, opened his eyes and turned to Mu Changshu, “What is it, little cub?”

“Mom, it’s not very comfortable to rest like this.” Mu Changshu replied, moving a little distance away and adding, “Mom, it feels much better to sleep here!”

 Mu Changshu’s round hands gently patted his thighs.

 “Hmm?”

 Chu Yu was a bit surprised by Mu Changshu’s words.

 However, she didn’t decline and leaned forward, resting her head comfortably on Mu Changshu’s soft thighs.

 Chu Yu appreciated this thoughtful little cub.

 It was nicer to rest her head like this on Mu Changshu’s thighs.

 “Mom, take a moment to relax. I’ll let you know when we arrive!”

 “Okay, you’re so sweet.”

 Chu Yu closed her eyes to get some rest.

 Mu Changshu supported Chu Yu gently with both hands to keep her head steady as the bus navigated the bumpy road.

 As the bus traveled, Chu Yu enjoyed resting on Mu Changshu’s thigh.

 Time passed gradually, and soon, the bus reached the small village organized by the program team.

 The bus came to a stop.

 Everyone in a state of stillness inside the bus slowly opened their eyes.

 The team leaders aboard were the first to notice and asked the photographer to activate the camera.

 It has taken two hours, from 9:30 to now. I turned the camera off at 10 o’clock, and now it is 11:30.

Not long after the camera was turned on, the previously black screen of the live broadcast room came back to life.

While many viewers left when faced with the black screen, some opted to keep the live broadcast room open on their tablets or computers, and a select few were fortunate enough to catch the live broadcast as soon as they entered.

[Oh! I tuned in just in time for the live broadcast to start. I thought I’d have to wait a bit longer. I seem to have a knack for timing!]

[I joined about half an hour ago, secretly watching at work with the live broadcast room open on my phone.]
